Nestled
between Seattle and Vancouver B.C., Bellingham is a small town with big
city heart. An aerial view of the city is dramatic; bordered by the Puget
Sound waters of Bellingham Bay, marked by dramatic hills and dotted by
three lakes, Bellingham is a breathtakingly beautiful place to live, work
and retire. From the reinvigorated downtown with it’s world class dining,
distinctive shopping, and outstanding entertainment, to the trend setting
Historic Fairhaven District and the Local Farmer’s Market, Bellingham
offers the excitement of a city while maintaining the quiet pleasures of a
small town. Schools, festivals, focus on community and plenty to do
indoors and out have contributed to Bellingham’s ranking as one of the
most desirable places in the Northwest. Bellingham’s waterfront is framed
with parks and promenades connected by a series of foot and bicycle
trails. The temperate climate and proximity to the water and mountains
make it a Mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Walk along the water at Boulevard
Park, go hiking in Larrabee State Park, take a scenic walk along one of
the many interurban trails, go salmon fishing or improve your golf swing.
The possibilities are endless! Bellingham and the surrounding communities
have so much to offer, it's not surprising that once someone moves to
Bellingham, they rarely leave.
